MISSION

We need to lift the stigma surrounding mental health in males. Everyone has mental health. Sometimes it can deteriorate. As we know with most things – if you talk about a problem, you can begin to work on overcoming it, whether you reach out for support or just discuss the issue. ‘A problem shared is a problem halved’ attitude. Being open and honest is the best way to treat yourself. Your mental health is paramount. Don’t neglect it.

It does not mean you are weak or inferior if you open up about tough times. If anything it shows bravery and balls. Choosing the right people to talk to always helps. It can be very daunting and confusing at first, but it soon becomes easier and the pressure will lighten. It can be quite surprising just how many people have felt how you feel. Almost all of us have suffered with bouts of depression or anxiety – it’s not that uncommon. Do something as soon as you feel yourself starting to dip. Don’t let it build up, as this is when things can become overwhelming or blurry, and decision making can get increasingly difficult. The faster you act, the faster you improve. It’s never too late to start improving your life.
